Сослагательное наклонение – subjunctive mood – в английском языке может выражать

 

Сослагательное наклонение это всегда возможность, желание, сомнение или предположение.

 

На русский язык subjunctive mood чаще всего переводится глаголом в прошедшем времени с частицей БЫ.

 

Случаи употребления С onditional 0. Zero Conditional use. Мы будем употреблять условные предложения 0 типа, когда речь идет о реальных событиях или очевидных фактах – это real conditional. Более того, события, о которых идет речь, являются 100 % вероятными. 1. научных фактах (Scientific Facts) If you heat water to 1000 Celsius, it boils. 2. прописных истинах (General Truths) If you drop a book, it falls. 3. правилах (Rules) If you take drugs, don’t drive. 4. очевидных причинах и следствиях (Obvious Causes and Effects) If you disconnect the battery, the computer turns off. 5. привычных действиях (Routine) Molly uses glasses when she types.
If + Present Simple (придат). Pr . Simple (Главн.)

Одним из признаков Zero Conditional является тот факт, что вы всегда сможете заменить if(если) на when (когда) без изменения смысла предложения.

Water and oil do not mix if you combine them. – Вода и масло не смешиваются, если Вы соединяете их.

= Water and oil do not mix when you combine them — Вода и масло не смешиваются, когда Вы соединяете их.

 First Conditional — важная тема в английской грамматике. Условные предложения 1 типа употребляются очень часто. Мы используем present simple в придаточном с if ( if clause ) и future simple (‘ ll ( will )) в главном предложении ( main clause ). Мы используем First Conditional чтобы говорить о вещах, которые хотелось бы, чтобы случились в будущем. Употребление Эти предложения выражают вполне реальные, осуществимые предположения, относящиеся к будущему или настоящему времени.
1Conditional может быть выражено
Придаточное пр . ( if): Present Simple, Present Continuous, Present Perfect Главное пр.: Future Simple, модальные гл. (can, may, might, must, should), Imperative (повелительное наклонение).

Примеры : If the weather is nice, we’ll go for a walk. – Если погода будет хорошая, мы пойдём на прогулку. If you have taken the books, you can start working on your article.

If you see Greg, ask him to ring me up. Если вы увидите Грега, попросите его позвонить мне по телефону
Second conditional exercises. Условные предложения II типа.
If + Past simple (придат). Would + Pr. Simple ( Главн.)

If I knew his number, I would call him. Если бы я знала его номер, я бы позвонила (но я не знаю).

I would take new hobby, if I had more free time. Я бы занялась новым хобби, если у меня было больше времени (но в реальности больше времени у меня нет).

The world would be a better place, if there were no more wars. Мир был бы лучше, если бы не было войны (не реально).

What would do, if you won the lottery? Что бы ты сделал, если выиграл лотерею? (нет никакого выигрыша, все чисто теоретически).

Все примеры говорят о гипотетических ситуациях (не реальных, в реальности этого нет), таких, которые мы называем «если бы, да ка бы». Сюда же относятся мечты, теоретизирования, маловероятные воображаемые ситуации.

Не дайте глаголу в прош. вр. сбить вас с толку! Речь в предложениях в любом случае идет о настоящем или будущем времени. Было бы здорово, если бы…/или будет здорово, если… Для прошлого есть 3 тип сослагательного наклонения!

 Third conditional . Условные предложения III типа.
Condition (придат.+if) Result (главное)
Past Perfect If I had won the lottery Would have + past participle I would have bought a car.

В условной части (после if) используется Past Perfect, а в основной части would have с глаголом в 3 форме (V3):

If we had left earlier, we would have caught a train. – Если бы мы вышли раньше, мы бы успели на поезд.

Конечно же, в обеих частях условного предложения можно использовать отрицания:

If we had left earlier, we wouldn't have missed the train. – Если бы мы вышли раньше, мы бы не опоздали на поезд.

Условные предложения третьего типа передают воображаемую, невозможную ситуацию в прошлом. Бывает так, что вы хотели бы что-то изменить в прошлом, поступить иначе, но время уже прошло, и изменения невозможны. Или наоборот, все случилось удачно, и рассуждаете о том, что бы было, если бы условия были другими. Именно для этих целей и существуют условные предложения третьего типа.

 

Рассмотрим основные значения Conditional 3.

1. Воображаемая ситуация в прошлом; ситуация, альтернативная реальности:

If I had bought that watch yesterday, I would have spent all my money. – Если бы я купил те часы вчера, я бы потратил все свои деньги. (Но я их не купил, поэтому деньги при мне)
2. Сожаление о действии в прошлом, желание изменить прошлое:

If I had told her the way, she wouldn't have got lost. – Если бы я объяснила ей дорогу, она бы не заблудилась. (Но я не объяснила ей дорогу, и теперь сожалею об этом.)

3. Критика совершенного действия. Когда говорящий как бы говорит: "Я знаю, как надо было поступить":

If you had set up an alarm clock, you wouldn't have been late. – Если бы ты завел будильник, ты бы не опоздал. (Но ты такой-сякой, не завел будильник, и опоздал.)
