Hello, Sveta, I have found two photos for our project “Professions” and now I will give their brief description and explain why I think they are a nice illustration for this project.
These photos show people of different professions. In Photo 1 we see members of a cabin crew, flight-attendants as I can judge. They are on board a plane, they are smiling. They are all dressed in beautiful dark blue suits and the ladies have light blue kerchiefs around their necks. In Photo 2 there is a young man, I suppose, he is an IT specialist, maybe a computer programmer. He is sitting in front of his computer typing something, he looks concentrated. These professions have important differences. People from Photo 1 work in a unique location, they fly on board a plane, whereas the IT specialist works in an office. What is more, flight-attendants’ profession suggests team-work. An IT specialist may work alone, he fulfills his tasks individually.
Now I will say a few words about the advantages of each type of profession. Flight-attendants have opportunities to visit different places during their trips, it is so exciting. Speaking about the profession of an IT specialist, the definite plus is high salary. As I know, they make good money. But there are also certain downsides. To my mind, the profession of a flight-attendant is rather dangerous because travelling by plane is not safe. In case with an IT specialist, spending a lot of time in front of the computer screen may cause problems with eyesight.
As for me, I would choose the profession of an IT specialist because I like working with data, writing computer programs seems very interesting. Moreover, it is the profession that will be in demand in the future, I am sure.
