Sport unites people.

It is not a secret that people place great emphasis on exercising. While some individuals firmly believe that sport brings people together (одного синонима недостаточно для перефразирования, поэтому можно изменить грамматическую конструкцию), others think differently.

In my opinion, doing sports is really unites sportsmen. First of all, when people are fond of something they always find new adherents (like-minded people). People make friends in fitness clubs and motivate each other in the Internet. Secondly, there are some extreme kinds of sports where people support every team member. For example, sportsmen who are doing kayaking work in teams and help each other in difficult and dangerous situations. It is they who know about real friendship.

However many people have another point of view. They say that sport divides people because of competitions. When a sportsman sees his opponent he starts to hate him. Sometimes it leads to a violent feud enmity between competitors who don’t want to make friends with each other.

I cannot agree with the opponents’ opinion. During competitions sportsmen watch their opponents and analyze their actions. They do not think about cruelty because there is a special sports behavior which trains athletes from childhood and teaches them to be friendly and kind with all competitors.

In conclusion, I think that exercising brings people together. I have no doubt about it because despite some minor minuses activities help individuals to be united with each other.

Unite people = bring people together

Divide people

Sport = exercise/ exercising

Dear Mike,

Thank you for your letter. It was great to hear from you again.

As for your questions, my hobby is journaling. I like to draw funny pictures and make collages in my album. I usually spend about 2 hours a week on it. Frankly speaking, I would like to do it more often, but I can't because of my preparation for exams. My parents and friends support me in my hobby. They say that I have really beautiful pages in my book.

In your letter you also wrote about your elder brother. What is his name? How old is he? Does he have a hobby?

That’s all for now. Hope to hear from you soon.

Best wishes,

Dear Jerald,

Thank you for your letter. It was great to hear from you again.

As for your questions, I think that people hunt tornadoes because they want to make pictures of them. Exciting photos can make them popular in their social networks. In my opinion, the most dangerous natural phenomenon is earthquake because people can’t run away from it. I suppose that we will never learn to protect ourselves from them because it’s very hard to stay alive during the earthquake.

By the way, what teams played at the basketball game? Who was the winner? What was the score?

That’s all for now. Hope to hear from you soon.

Best wishes,

Dasha
