Some people think that Russian is easier to learn than English
It is not a secret that nowadays learning languages has become extremely popular. While some people think that it is easier to learn Russian than English Я не вполне уверена, что такого перифраза достаточно. На всякий случай лучше заменить ещё два слова синонимами или антонимами, others think differently.
In my opinion, Russian is one of the most difficult languages (в своём мнении надо ориентироваться на тему, то есть упомянуть английский язык). First of all, this language has a very difficult pronunciation for foreigners. Some of my friends from Canada say that the combination of hard and soft sounds in Russian is very strange and it is difficult for them to pronounce some our words. Secondly, Russian has very difficult rules of putting stresses. I know that not only foreigners but also native speakers have mistakes in stresses in their speech. В этом абзаце обязательно нужно сравнивать с английским: В то время как в русском языке…, в английском … проще.
However, many people think differently. They claim that English is more difficult to learn than Russian because of variety of times tenses. Many individuals who learn English complain that the English language has very difficult and unclear times tenses that are difficult to understand and translate.
I cannot agree with the opposite opinion. I think that variety of English times is not as scary as the Russian inversion. If the rules for using tenses in English help you better understand the meaning of a phrase, inversion in Russian does not lend itself to logical explanation. The meaning of a Russian phrase may change depending on the word order. You just have to feel the language, not remember the rule.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that English is easier to learn than Russian. I have no doubt about it because despite some minor minuses and difficulties Russian is more unclear for learning.

Dear Nancy,
Thank you for your letter. It was great to hear from you again.
In your letter you asked me about the environmental situation. As for my region, it suffers from different kinds of pollution, depletion of natural resources and waste disposal. My school thinks that it’s very important to decide solve these problems, so teachers make us hand over waste paper and sort the garbage. Frankly speaking, I think that recycling is a good idea, because it helps people to get rid of garbage with ecological benefits.
By the way, what is the name of the shopping centre? What stores are there? When did it open?
That’s all for now. Hope to hear from you soon.
Best wishes,
Dasha
