Castlebridge Police Department: Crime report for Monday 2nd May – Friday 6th May
Monday: A jacket was stolen from the Castlebridge Clothing Store. The shop assistant told us that a young woman had asked to try on the jacket. While the assistant was busy, the young woman ran out of the store. We have a photo of the thief, so we expect to arrest her soon.
Tuesday: A smartphone was taken from a woman’s bag. This happened at the sports stadium. At the time, the woman was watching a football match with her children. She didn’t see who took the phone. Unfortunately this type of crime is very common. We intend to increase the number of police officers at sporting events in the future.
Wednesday: Late in the evening, some graffiti was found on the bus station wall. A bus driver told us that he had seen some young people in the area earlier in the evening. However, we don’t know whether they were responsible. We have been in touch with Cleaner City, a group of young volunteers, and they have offered to remove the graffiti.
Thursday: A man climbed through a window into a family’s flat while they were watching TV. He tried to steal a laptop, but luckily the family heard him and called the police before he could get away. The man was arrested, but he has refused to say anything. We’re sure that the criminal will be sent to prison for a long time.
Friday: A man told us that someone had stolen his password, and had tried to get money from his online bank account. Fortunately, we managed to identify the offender. It was a thirteen-year-old boy! He admitted that he had committed the crime. This was a serious offence, but the boy is too young to go to prison.
