1. But for – если бы не – unreal (относится к прошлому, настоящему, будущему)
But for my English lesson, I would be free now.
But for the rain yesterday, I would have gone for a walk.
2. Придаточные уступки:
· If you knew it, why didn’t you tell him about it?
Если ты знал это, почему ты ему не сказал?
· If you know it, why don’t you talk to him?
Если ты знаешь это, почему бы тебе не поговорить с ним?
· If you know the truth, speak to him.
Если ты знаешь правду, поговори с ним.
